Tasting & Tracking

I am now in my final semester at the university. Another 6 months of mental and physical torture! Yes, being in the dental faculty is a torture as well as mind boggling. I must say that despite all the tense, I enjoy treating patients very much. Sometimes when I successfully done something (both pleasing to the lecturer and patient), I will feel a kind of satisfaction afterwards. So back to this 6 months business, it's kind of scary whereby a whole new life waiting for me - career life. Also, I will be separated from my Love. =[ He will go back to work at his hometown, and I mine.

So then we decided that we will try out new things as much as we can before we end our business in KL.

Starting with...food tasting. We will try out as many different places as possible.

The sun shines brightly today...until...

I love him. But what he did was not right. I want to scream but I couldn’t. I want to cry but there’s no tear. I want to hate but there’s only love.

Poor me.

God! It’s only 7 days away till my first semester exam! 7 subjects to study. How is that possible?! I’ll only have about several hours to study for a day. Hmm lets count. 24 hrs minus (fr 12 am) 5hrs of sleep, 11hrs at class/clinic. That’s 8 hours left. 2 hrs rest, and so I have 6 hrs. Study straight for 6 hours?? Nah, don’t think so! Maybe 4 hours for studying. Strive! Strive!

Tomorrow’s gonna be the start of a very hectic week for me. So little time, so much to do.

1. Treat patients. Cons clinic, OD clinic, OM clinic(hopefully it’s gonna be just tutorial) and ortho clinic. Hmm not so stressful for clinic part.

2. I have to make 2 orthodontic appliances, for 2 patients. My fingers ache from all the wire bending. Still 5 components to go.

3. After that, have to go search for Dr. R for signature. That’s something really2 difficult to do. He is so hard to find eventhough the polyclinic is not at all very big.

4. Then comes the part of processing the appliance. That will at least take 2 days.

5. Elective. The abstract is ready. Hope Dr. A will approve it.

6. Finish the report writing. Literature review and discussion.

7. Study!

Campbell's

It’s 1.03 in the morning. I’ve had a long and tiresome day but in the end something happened that really puts a smile to my face. For a long time. In the morning it was Prostho Clinic which was so dragging as today Dr. T was supervising us. Glad I didn’t bring my patient because all everyone did today was review, assess, and reassess. Well I wouldn’t elaborate too much on it.

Then in the evening, it was Perio Clinic. I presented my case to Dr. S, who is a visiting specialist to our clinic. We discussed the treatment plan with the patient and I treated the patient. During the evaluation time, while I was waiting in line, Dr. S blabbers away with some motivational talk and stories during her uni days. Then as she was signing my case note and all, she said ‘Tooth fairy, you are very good. Eventhough this is the first time that I supervise you, you managed to observe the patient and present very well.’ And then she gave me 8marks for all the 4 columns that we are being assessed of. It is not frequent that a lecturer will give u 8. Usually they’ll give 7 or 6 for the average.

After finished clinic, had to run to Low Yatt to get Abah some glossy photo printing papers. Then a quick dinner at Hainan Chicken Rice (which Love and I agreed to not go again), and off to Carrefour Ampang to buy several plastics of sea water.

Eventhough I am exhausted, I couldn’t sleep just yet. My stomach sings a mellow song. So I decided to try the new Campbell’s instant mushroom soup that we got for free on the way to Low Yatt. It tastes OK but it’s not something that I would write down on my grocery list!
