Bloomingdale's

Today the SPM results are out. My cousin's daughter, Fatin got 10A1's. So wonderful! I knew it that she'll excel. She's been very consistent since she was in kindergarten. Always the top student. She asked me once, 'Kak Milia, mcm mana nak score in Bio? Kalau jawab bagus pun, Fatin blh dapat A2 ja.' I was like - whAt? 'So for the other subjects Fatin slalu dapat apa?' And she casually answered, 'Yg lain dapat A1...'
Hahah then I was left speechless. How do I give her tips when I never once, or very rarely got A for Biology when I was in form 5...

My mom was also very happy. And she became more worried for my younger brother, who will sit for SPM this year. She said to abah, 'Eventhough our daughters got good results, but this is the first in our big family to get straight As in SPM. Even Milia's SPM results were not that excellent'

Yes, I must admit that. I only obtained 6As for SPM. Somehow, miracle happened during matriculation where I got CGPA of 4.00 for 2 semesters. Then, it struck me that that was when I started to bloom!

Then I said to mom and abah; 'Well, for some people, they bloom early but maybe later for the others. Doesn't matter whether it's physically, mentally, socially or even spiritually!' And abah liked what I said. 'Wow, what you said is very nice!' Yes, indeed.

Dearie Dell in good health

Yes, my dearie laptop is in fact back on track. My system-engineer-sister helped to reformat the OS. After much speculation, I now know why my system crashed. It's because I made the mistake of thinking that the Microsoft 2007 I'm using is the original one, when in fact only the Vista is original. So last time when I was busy making the 'slideshow percintaan' to be given to Love on our anniversary, I downloaded a lot of new slide designs on powerpoint. Thus, subsequently causing my OS to crash.
Anyhow, I'm so happy that my Dell is OK now cause I missed it so much. And now it's better because I have partitioned the hardisk. C-50Gb, G-50Gb, H-50Gb and I-70Gb. The C is for the OS, G is strictly for movies, I is strictyly for photos, while H is for my other stuff, including dental associated stuff, songs, downloaded stuff and misc.

Alive and kickin'. Inspiron 1525

I'm now on a 1-week mid semester break. Not much activities at home. A lot of time spent minding over the laptop, eat, watch movie, eat, sleep sleep. Fida's family is at home from Sunday till Wed, so we were all quite preoccupied with Qeem(nephew).
Movies watched : Eagle Eye starring Shia le bouf, and Turn left, turn right which Adik downloaded.

I helped mom to make curry puff/karipap on last Saturday. It was my first time, so it was quite difficult. I became tired (more or less lazy) and stopped after 3 attempts. Not very skillful though, but surely improved on the 3rd one.

1st to 3rd attempt ; from right to left. Note the evolution

Abah grilled some lamb chop on my 4th day at home. So very delicious. Bought at tesco, already marinated. Then, cooked with Heinz barbecue sauce. As I am writing this, I google for the words marinate vs marinade because I heard abah asking Fida the other day, is it marinaTed or marinaDed. So, here goes. Something new for me. marinate is a verb. ie ; to marinaTe something. While marinade is a noun. ie ; this marinaDe is rather strong.

Grilled to perfection. A close-up view.
