suede it!

I was close to tears this evening because my suede leather Hush Puppies shoes got soaked in the rain while I was running to my car. I’ve been meaning to buy the suede leather spray for all things suede but still couldn’t find one.

But anyway, I am now in my second week of attachment at HSAH. I’ll be posted there for 6 months under 2 oral surgeons and 1 oral pathologist. It’s really interesting and way different from the routine work I did in the main clinic. So as of today, I’ve been into 2 operations (4 patients) – 7 hours and 6 hours operation which left me with whole body ache. Actually I didn’t do much pun... mainly just retracting some structures, and also suctioning (blood and water). But the focus and concentration is always at the max. Try losing it for ½ a minute and you may block the surgeons view or get into the operation field. Or worse, accidentally suck a tiny RM60 titanium screw (like what I did on my second day).

Other than the operations, I’ve tended to 1 fresh case from the casualty, aspirated 10cc blood for pre-op screening, and done lots of this and that that adds up tremendously to my knowledge. And things are so organized because the hospital system is fully computerized. Loving it!

I can’t wait for this weekend. My parents and I will be spending our 4 days weekend at my sister’s. Then our activities will include going to Jalan TAR, visiting Habib, and a visit to a family friend’s house. Gotta start surveying for my wedding ring, that’s the main agenda. 4 months is not that long considering I’ve got a small engagement to be perfected.

All geared up for work. Bought a pair of new
shoes to lift my spirits up before starting
at a new placc.
